Version 1, effective October 12th, 2026

Nouhi's Nomad Remix Terms

The version number and the date these terms take effect are shown at the top of the terms page and next to the checkbox you tick when you accept them.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Tirgan, Inc., a New York S corporation with majority ownership held by Zachary Tirgan, frontman of Nouhi's Nomad, and the trademark holder of Tirgan Records ("we", "us", "our"). Nouhi's Nomad is the project of Iranian-American songwriter Zachary Tirgan and the musicians he records and plays with.

They apply when you download stems from the Nouhi's Nomad Remix Vault, and when you send us a remix. Each song has its own page at www.nouhisnomad.com/remix/ followed by the song's name. You accept these terms by ticking the box on a song page. We record which version you accepted, for which song, at what time, and with which email address.

2. Words used in these terms

  • Song: a Nouhi's Nomad song offered in the Remix Vault.
  • Stems: the audio files we make available for a Song, and the ZIP file that holds them.
  • Song Page: the page for a Song at www.nouhisnomad.com/remix/ followed by the Song's name.
  • Remix: any recording you make using the Stems.
  • Submission: a Remix you send us through the Remix Vault, as an upload or a link.
  • Official Remix Agreement: a separate written agreement, signed by you and by Tirgan, Inc., to release one specific Remix.
  • Official Remix: a Remix covered by a signed Official Remix Agreement.

3. What you may do with the Stems

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, royalty-free and revocable license to:

  1. download the Stems for the Song you chose;
  2. use them to make Remixes of that Song;
  3. send a Remix of that Song to us through the Remix Vault; and
  4. if the Song Page allows it (Option A in section 6), share your Remix non-commercially as section 6 describes.

That is the whole license. Every other right stays with us and with the Song's songwriters.

For a co-written Song, the songwriters credited on it keep their rights in the composition. These terms give you nothing in the composition.

4. Stems are not a release right

Downloading Stems does not give you any right to release, sell, stream through a distributor, sync, license or make money from a Remix, or to present it as an official Nouhi's Nomad release. Only a signed Official Remix Agreement does that.

An email or a message saying we like your Remix is not approval, and it is not a license.

5. What you must not do

  • Share, upload, sell, post or trade the Stems or any part of them, alone or in a pack, anywhere. That includes websites, cloud drives, Discord servers, sample marketplaces, stem libraries and file-sharing services.
  • Use any part of the Stems in any recording other than a Remix of that Song. That includes your own tracks, beats, loops, sample packs and remixes of other songs.
  • Use AI tools at any stage of making a Remix. That includes generating, altering, mixing or mastering any part of it.
  • Use the Stems, or any Remix that contains them, to train, fine-tune, test or evaluate any artificial intelligence or machine-learning model, or upload them to any service whose terms let it use uploads for that purpose.
  • Create a voice model, clone or sound-alike of anyone heard on the Stems.
  • Register a Remix, or any part of it, with YouTube Content ID or any similar content-identification system, yourself or through a distributor.
  • Send a Remix to stores, streaming services, Bandcamp, Beatport, DJ pools, sample sites or NFT platforms, or through any distributor.
  • Present a Remix as official, or as made by or with Nouhi's Nomad, unless it is an Official Remix.

Ordinary production tools are fine, as long as they do not use AI. If you are not sure about a tool, ask us first.

6. Posting your Remix: Option A or Option B

Each Song Page, and the download panel on it, says which option applies to that Song. The option shown when you download is the one that applies to your Remixes of that Song.

Option A: non-commercial sharing allowed

You may post your Remix on your own SoundCloud, YouTube and Vimeo channels, on these conditions:

  • Title it "Song Title (Your Name Unofficial Remix)", credit Nouhi's Nomad, and link to the original Song or to the Song Page.
  • No money of any kind: no ads or platform revenue programs, no sales or paid downloads, no tips or "buy" links attached to it, and no sponsorship.
  • No Content ID or any other content-identification registration, and nothing sent to the stores, services and platforms listed in section 5.
  • Never include the Stems, or a link to them, in the upload or its description.
  • We may withdraw this permission for any Remix at any time by email. You then take that Remix down within 7 days.
  • Where a platform's rules allow it, we may claim or make money from an unofficial Remix on that platform, and we owe you nothing for that.

When you download Stems for an Option A Song, we email you a short permission notice that you can show a platform if it asks.

Option B: keep it private

Keep your Remix private. Do not post, upload, stream or distribute it anywhere. You may send it to us through the Remix Vault.

7. Your own sounds stay yours

Anything you create yourself and can separate from our Stems, such as your own drums, synths, sound design or recordings, remains yours. You may reuse it elsewhere, as long as nothing you reuse contains our material or imitates a performance on the Stems.

This changes if you submit a Remix and it is released as an Official Remix. From that point, the Official Remix recording, including your own sounds in it, is covered by the signed Official Remix Agreement.

8. Clean material only

Do not put samples of other people's recordings, or interpolations of other songs, in a Remix you send us. Royalty-free library sounds are fine if their license allows use in a released recording, but list each one and where it came from when you submit, because anything we release has to be cleared.

9. Sending us a Remix

When you send us a Remix:

  • Send it as a WAV file, at least 24-bit.
  • You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store it, listen to it, share it privately with the people who help us review it (including the Song's co-writers and our advisors), and contact you about it.
  • We will not post, publish or release a Submission without a signed Official Remix Agreement.
  • You confirm that you made the Remix, or that you have permission to submit everything in it apart from our Stems, and that you have listed any library sounds.
  • You confirm that no AI tools were used to make the Remix.
  • We have no obligation to review, respond to, approve or release any Submission.
  • We may receive or make remixes that are similar to yours, and we owe you nothing because of that.

You cannot delete a Submission yourself once we have received it. To ask us to remove it, reply to your confirmation email.

10. Official Remixes

If we want to release your Remix, we send you an Official Remix Agreement. A Remix becomes official only when you and Tirgan, Inc. have both signed it. In outline, the agreement:

  • transfers ownership of the Official Remix recording to Tirgan, Inc., while your own separable sounds stay yours, except as section 7 describes;
  • pays you 50% of the Remix Net Receipts from that recording, as the agreement defines them, with no advance and no fee;
  • credits you as "Song Title (Your Name Remix)", with you in the remixer role at stores; and
  • leaves the songwriting and publishing of the Song with its songwriters. If you add new lyrics or a new melody, we agree a written split with you before anything is released.

Royalties and splits are handled through our distributor, which pays your share. The signed agreement, not this summary, sets the terms of an Official Remix.

11. What stays ours

Our recordings, the Songs' compositions, the Nouhi's Nomad name, our logos and our artwork belong to Tirgan, Inc., to Zachary Tirgan (who owns the Nouhi's Nomad name) and to the Songs' songwriters. Using the Stems gives you no ownership in any of them. You may use the name Nouhi's Nomad only to credit the original Song in the ways these terms describe.

12. Ending your license

We may end your license for a Song by email if you break these terms, or if we remove the Song from the Remix Vault. When that happens, delete the Stems. Remixes you already posted under Option A may stay up unless we ask you to take them down.

13. Who can take part

You must be 18 or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher.

Official Remix Agreements and payments are subject to US law, including US sanctions law. We may not be able to sign an agreement with, or pay, a producer who lives in a country under comprehensive US sanctions.

14. No guarantees

We provide the Stems as they are. We do not promise they will be free of errors, or that they will suit your project. If you have an ask or a problem with the Stems, reach out to remix@nouhisnomad.com. We will read every message, but we can't promise we will change anything. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.

15. Changes to these terms

We may publish new versions of these terms. A new version applies only to downloads and Submissions made after you accept it. The version you accepted when you downloaded Stems keeps governing that download. We never change a published version; a change is always a new version with a new number.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by New York law. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in New York County, New York. Before anyone goes to court, tell us about the problem by email and try to resolve it informally. We are happy to try mediation by video.

Frequently asked questions

Can I post my remix? It depends on the song. The download panel on the song page says Option A (non-commercial posting on your own SoundCloud, YouTube and Vimeo, titled as an unofficial remix) or Option B (keep it private). See section 6.

Can I make money from it? No. Remixes are always non-monetized. A remix earns money only if we choose it for an official release, and then you get 50% of its Remix Net Receipts.

What does "official" mean, and how do I get paid? A remix is official once you and Tirgan, Inc. have both signed an Official Remix Agreement for it. Store and streaming income is collected and split through our distributor, which pays your share directly. Any other income from the remix is paid on a statement twice a year.

What is the 50% of? The money Tirgan, Inc. actually receives for the Official Remix recording, after a short list of deductions written into the agreement: distribution and payment fees on that income, release costs you approved in advance, third-party commissions on a license of the remix, and taxes withheld at source. It does not include income from the original song or any other recording, or any songwriting or publishing income.

Do I get songwriting credit or publishing? Not for a remix. If you write new lyrics or a new melody, we agree a split in writing before release. Without that agreement, we don't release that version.

What format do I send in? WAV, at least 24-bit.

Can I use Splice or other library sounds? Yes, if their license allows use in a released recording. List each one when you submit. Do not use samples of other people's records.

Can I use AI tools? No. No AI tools at any stage of making a remix, and never clone or imitate a voice or a performance from the stems.

Why can't I use the stems in my own tracks? The license is for remixing one song. The stems carry performances by people who agreed to remixes of that song, not to their playing turning up somewhere else.

I'm outside the US. Can I take part? Yes. Anyone can download and submit, subject to section 13. If your remix becomes official, we ask for a W-8BEN (individuals) or W-8BEN-E (companies) before paying you, and US tax may be withheld as US law requires. Producers in the US give us a W-9.

How long does review take? We listen to every submission, but we can't promise a reply time. We get in touch when we'd like to take a remix further.

Can I send more than one remix? Yes. Each remix is its own submission, up to five a day.

What happens to remixes you don't choose? They stay private with us. Uploaded files of remixes we don't take further are deleted after 365 days. Under Option A, your own unofficial post can stay up unless we ask for it to come down.

How long do my download links last? Each file link works for 6 hours. In the same browser, the song page can give you fresh links for 7 days after you accept the terms. After that, or on another device, accept the terms again.

Do I need an account? No. Only your email address.
